What is endodontics?
Endodontics is a treatment of the tooth that removes the living tissue that is inside the tooth. Root canals aim to eliminate pulp tissue (nerve, vessels and tissue) to preserve the tooth, cleaning and treating root canals.
The most frequent cause for which an endodontics must be done is that there is a caries that produces an infection inside the tooth. In these cases, the only way to cure this infection is by removing the infected tissue.
After the removal of the infected tissue, the root canals are filled, the tooth or tooth is reconstructed and protected with a sleeve or crown.
Clearly, it can be said that it is the most complicated and delicate dental treatment of all. Only the expertise of a specialized person and the appropriate technical means guarantee the success of the treatment. In San Magno Dental Clinic we have specialists in Endodontics.
